Idaho State CertificationTo the Editors:Idaho sounds like a great place ["Idaho Inaugurates State Certification," Proteus, Winter 1999], a state where the court executive in the U.S. District Court can say with a straight face that the judicial officers "vigorously defend the rights of all who come before the court." Really? And the judicial officers tolerate a court executive with specious arguments who seems unable to distinguish between compliance and non-compliance as regards federal law? The place obviously has possibilities. Come all ye polluters and rejoice. Come all ye Medicare fraudulators and fraudulate. Come all ye bucket-shops and prosper. Idaho, where anything goes. They could do a real good business promotion: "We don't really understand federal law and we really don't care, so come on down!" Alicia B. Edwards | |
