Taking a Pause
Taking a Pause
By: The NAJIT Observer Committee
Dear NTO Readers,
This week, we are taking a much-needed break from publishing an original blog.
Instead, we are taking a little time to catch up, regroup, and address some of our growing pains.
Being part of this community is a beautiful thing, but with growth inevitably come a few transitional hurdles. Many of you have noticed that NAJIT has moved to a new server, our website has been updated, and some things have changed or shifted around along the way.
We like to think about it this way: We are all part of a house, or a mansion, for those who need a little more whimsy, and we were asked to move.
We packed everything up, carefully labeled our boxes, the movers came, and we settled into our new residence. Then we discovered that everything had been flipped upside down. Now, we are looking for the box labeled “office,” while finding five other boxes that suddenly make us want to organize entirely different rooms.

What does that mean for NTO, and why are we talking about moving boxes?
Well, NTO has been impacted by the move, too.
And right now, we are looking for the box labeled “comments.”
Our new commenting system has been experiencing technical issues, and some of our readers have had trouble commenting on our posts. Our comments are showing across different blog posts. Previously, we provided a Join the Conversation piece in hopes that it would offer a temporary solution. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a little like finding the box labeled “office,” opening it, and discovering only the ink for your printer.
Helpful? Technically.
The thing we were actually looking for? Not quite.
So, we hear you.
We know the transition has created some frustration for our readers, and we are actively working with the NAJIT Board and our new management company to address the issue. We want everyone to be able to comment on our posts, share their thoughts, and participate in the conversations happening within our community without too much difficulty.
Just as we might ask for a little grace while unpacking a new home, NTO is asking for some grace while we unpack this one.
In the meantime, we want to thank you for your continued support of NTO, our contributors, and the conversations we create together. We also appreciate you sticking with us while we work through some of the less glamorous boxes hiding in the backend of our new home.
This is only a one-week break. We will return to our regular weekly publishing schedule next week.
For now, we decided to break the fourth wall and let you know that we are aware of the issues, we hear your concerns, and we feel some of these growing pains right alongside you.
And to share that we have plenty coming.
As we prepare to enter the final two months of the year, you can look forward to:
- More guest blogs
- An introduction, or reintroduction, to our 2026–2027 Board and management team
- The Couch submissions
- And much more!
Thank you for continuing to read, contribute, comment (or try to!), and grow with us.
We will see you next week.

A Note About Comments
We want it to be easy for our community to join the conversation. At this time, comments may appear across multiple NTO posts rather than being specific to the post you are currently reading.
We are actively working on a solution that will give each post its own discussion section and make it easier for our community to participate.
Thank you for your patience as we improve the commenting experience.

We love to hear from our readers! If you wish to make a comment on this blog post, please use the comment box on the page below the post.
